Deva Hawarden Board & Display Laminating environmental concerns

Many of our products are made using 100% recycled materials and are 100% recyclable. Our range of Display Board products are FSC Chain of Custody Accredited and contain varying proportions of recycled material.

Safeguarding the future

Recognising environmental concerns are at the heart of Deva’s business. Paperboard comes from a resource that is increasingly part of the ecological cycle of nature but the continued use of non-renewable materials must be done in a responsible and sustainable way. Deva uses, wherever possible, virgin fibre paperboard from mills with Forestry Stewerdship Council (FSC) accreditation or from mills who use timber from sustainable forests.

Deva’s objective is that all fibre sources should be fully acceptable in sustainability terms, and recognised as such by all suppliers and customers alike.

Working with an energy efficient machine in an energy efficient environment with careful control of its waste and subsequent recycling, Deva can claim to be truely environmentaly responsible.

FSC Certified Products

The species used for the Coated Folding Boxboard is as follows.

Primary components are

Spruce (Picea abies)
Coniferous pine (pinus silvestris)
75-100% depending on supplier

Birch (Betula pendula) and some Aspen (Populus tremula) may also be used (20-25%).

Timber for the boards is sourced by our suppliers from the UK and Northern Europe.
